Additional Travel Assistance for First Nations

Overview:

A First Nations Band takes over their own medical transportation for their members and provide extra funding for items not covered in the Travel Assistance Program (TAP).
Additional Travel Assistance for First Nations
What they decided was that we would take over our own medical transportation and so, basically anybody that has an appointment outside of the community receives assistance with their travel. There are the Travel Assistant Program (TAP) forms that provide free ferries for people going to appointments, but we provide food support for an escort and the person with the appointment and then gas and mileage and then accommodations as needed.
