Decrease in Police Calls from New Social Worker Hire
Overview:
Police calls dropped by 40% after an initiative to hire a Social Worker for the community leading to the permanent creation of the position.
The social work initiative, it was only after you guys did the work, the social worker got employed, and the police calls dropped by 40%, and they could not deny the statistics. So it wasn’t like they came offering. We had to actually make it happen using some external budget to show them that this actually works and it would be illogical not to support that and actually it saves money in a general sense of meaning, and only then they decided to take X on board and basically create a job position for her.
