Maternal Child Health Program a Leading Model for Midwives in BC
[Regarding the Maternal Child Health Program] In terms of the model, as well, the salary model, you know, we talk a lot about alternate payment programs for sustainability of rural communities and it’s really kind of one of the leading models for midwives, and currently the only one in place in BC, I think, although I don’t remember if Haida Gwaii uses a similar model. But there’s been a number of eyes looking at it around reproducibility down the road, bringing maternal child health care into First Nations communities.
